06 December 2007 | Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui
My last message in Hong Kong, since the vessel I will be sailing on will leave earlier than expected, therefore we; Joost (he is a colleague and will arrive tomorrow) and I will have to get on board tomorrow afternoon.
The last few days were very cool and did a lot of siteseeing around Hong Kong. When I posted the Photos were not available, but they have been added now, and thanks to a Sinterklaas I can now even upload more photo's.
After the Lan Kwai Fong dinner last time, we (the Swedish guy and I) went back to Tsim Sha Tsui. And we did that fairly early(read 00.00), since the next day we wanted to visit the Big Budha on Lantau Island.
Next day indeed I woke up early and after again breakfast at the Starbucks, we went for the ferry to Lantau, and afterwards a bus to that point. The big Budha and its monastery were quite impressive and have to say it was pleasant as well, to hear some silence around you, since you don't get that in Hong Kong Island or Kowloon.
After getting back from Budha, we decided (the Frenchmen, the Sweed and 2 Hong Kong guys), to go out that evening to beijing club, which is THE place to be now in Hong Kong. And indeed it was...
Though a fairly tiring evening, I decided to get up fairly early to be able to say goodbye to Jonas(the Sweed), because he was leaving for China. Afterwards I went off to another Island, which is Chueng Chau and one of the most Characteristical Chinese islands around Hong Kong and one beautiful Island indeed.
Then I finished my Hong Kong trip by going to the Fortress, from where Hong Kong originated, which is Stanley. There the English came into Hong Kong and left in 1997. Nowadays it's mostly a market...
YES!!!!...
Photos: Chueng Chau, Big Budha, Stanley and the lightshow.

Nou Willem, het ziet er allemaal goed uit. Fijn om te lezen dat je zo'n fijne tijd hebt in Hongkong. Het is in ieder geval beter weer daar dan hier.
Heerlijk, geniet ervan. -
